People hating the dk/drk?

I shouldn't say hate but does anyone feel that dk/drk don't get that much respect these days. I mean, either people think that they're HB mules or they believe that since their damage is lower than a hero's,then drk=fail.

i all ways feel like an HB mule cuz my base dex is 107 so my dmg is rly low so people dont have me as an attacker but instead an HBer...

Huh? I find they are respected a lot more than other classes..... I don't see what the problem with being a "mule" is. Even the name it has been given indicates that it is a boring and unrewarding thing, but that isn't how it is at all! "Mules" are basically a stupid name for "Support Character". Every game has them, and they are always important. If you are a support character and you can do any damage at all, consider yourself lucky. It doesn't have to be that way. If you don't like being supportive, then make another class! Nobody in Maple ever gets respect; the class makes no difference anyways.

I see more DrKs than I do Heros. And from what I can see DrKs are wanted alot more. And that class is an hb mule, that can attack. I don't see the big issue there. I don't understand what you mean when you made this thread. They get tons of "respect"

It could easily be said that other classes are damage mules o-o" It's whether or not you feel your purpose is worthwhile. I enjoy playing shads so I made a CB. Will I be doing any hardcore damage at bosses? No, but I'll be having more fun than any dexless sin would be, and I have my uses at HT runs and the like. Not to mention EVERY class can do damage, but not every class can play a supporting roll

i dont think it really matters, each class + job is good for thier own things, some have high damage, some attack faster, some have high aviod, etc

Well honestly Spearmen/Dragon Knights ripped on all other Warrior classes before 4th job came out. As a Fighter you would get made fun of for not having HB and not being a faster leveler in 3rd job. As someone who's played Maplestory for a long time, I can truthfully say they kind of deserved it. I say deserved because its been a long time since 4th job came out, and there shouldn't be anymore ripping on DrKs. I actually haven't seen anything recently, so idk.

Standard mapler logic: if they do even 1 dpm less tyan another class, they suck. Enlightened logic: a class should be played for fun. If the best damage is fun for you, so be it. If only maplers where sensible... I have the highest respects for drks because they have always been an idol class for me. Awesome damage, superior support skills, awesome animations, sexy weapons, and a variety of equipment choices make the drk class one of the most versitile and fun classes.
