Are you proud of your country?

Today in history class when my teacher was talking about pride in your country and people that took pride in working in the 1920's, two things hit me. For one, I have no pride in America....Period. There are few to no "heroes" and MOST Americans are fat, dumb, and too lazy to work, not to mention the complete jerks and people who act tough when they're not that populate this place. The second is I don't want to follow someone else's path, I want to make my own future and my own legacy, you know something no-one else has done before. So hopefully when I can support myself I'll move to Ireland,Germany or Britain. Probably Britain though, 'cause British chicks are hot (the ones I've seen anyways) XD. But down to the point, are YOU proud of your country and if so, explain.

Your logic and understanding of history is appalling, TS. That being said, I don't believe in having pride in any "country". It's just stolen land.

damn right i'm proud of America. if the idiotic statement about us the ts said were true, then why is America still the most powerful country in the world? if we were all so "lazy", we wouldnt even be able to be a country.

There's a lot of heroes. Check out your local fire dept, or police dept - most of the men and women who work/volunteer there are heroes. Not to mention those who donate organs, etc. I wouldn't say I'm proud of the US, cuz there's things done that I don't agree with or things I think can/should be changed; but I'm happy to be here.
