Why I hate being a Mage sometimes.

edit: this is more for clerics than mages in general. Now, this is a rant, and your opinions may be different than mine, but this is how I feel. So if something offends you for any reason, don't flame me. First of all, why is it that everyone thinks they can ks a cleric/low-leveled priest? But, when I'm on my hermit, or my warrior, no one even tries to ks me. But its like every time I'm at MP3 or GS2/5 I will get ksed (or at least attempted to be ksed). I feel sorry for reg luck mages that do not have the same amout of damage I do, lucky for me, I can usually ks anyone before they ks me because my damage is really good. Why is it that mages cant be attackers too? My damage is better than a reg dex hermit, and a reg dex warrior, and I can mob ALOT better than both of those classes (aka heal and SR) and faster. But every time I'm in any pq people tell me to "spam heal" and other things that I know I should do because its my job! I know when to heal, and when to dispel and when to use all my other party skills. Its not like I don't wanna heal you, I get exp from it. Why is it that mages think they are going to have low damage? Everyone of my mage friends thinks they have low damage when really, their damage is better or equal to a sins! Why is it that people don't want mages for a zak run? Now, I know there are many ways to replace a bishop in a zak or HT run, but those cost money and mesos! When you can get a bishop with ALL of the same benefits for free . And, Bishops are almost required during a HT run but people are always like "ATTACKERS ONLY NUB" I have explained why bishops are needed in a HT run on many different forums, and I always say, "Bishops heal the people that get seduced (seduced is when you have no control over your player, and you cant use any skills or hotkeys, like pots) so Bishops follow the person that is seduced and heals them so they don't die. One more thing I wanna quote from someone that posted on one of my other threads a week or so back. And he said this : [quote] Chema : So what do you suggest? I've just learned to ignore it in game, the more you just don't talk, the more they will just keep attacking and get stages / bosses killed faster. That's all I have to say about that. Edit : Yes, I am a damage h0ar, but I'm only planing ahead for when I am a Bishop, and I'm doing my build so I don't have terrible damage compared to some of the Bishops I see only hitting 20k with gene at level

Sucks to be you? Im a mage and no ones ks me i have all 3 mages soo i know for a fact that i can boss well with them i just spam my blizz.Meteor or gene i heal and dispell not once have the people i zaked or cwkpq have ever called me a noob on my mages i have every class working on hero and bm xD

Every pq I go in I am not allowed to attack even though my damage is better than everyone elses! And I get called noob alot just for being a mage. I don't know why, I just do. I'm not doing anything wrong, it's like they just don't want me and I find that so weird and totally pointless.

Your damage must be really good XD Just saying, if you outdamage sins and warriors (at level 70). I always thought mobbing was lower damage when you mob, but if you do like 3-5k each mob hit, thats godly :D! GOOD GOING! KSers will always be there, its the person behind the screen doing the KSing. Usually they are weaklings so they try to pick on who they think have low damages, but they are just wrong. :P

Since I have a cleric, I know where you're coming from, but after making a dit and a bowman, I can see the other side too: It's very scary fighting a boss where you can die in 2/3 hits, and I've been in a party with a cleric who won't heal unless you have "1 hit till death" hp remaining... it gets kinda scary you know? So I end up self healing, (at which point the cleric coincidentally heals) wasting pots (not that big a deal, but still irritating you know?) and ...yea...

This what u do dont heal demand respect ur not just an all cure or hp pot. On my bishop all my friends know not to tell me heal or dispell without the plz at the end or i just sit there and spam gene u will slowy gain respect dont listen to those noobs who cant afford all cures or pots so they try to pick on u. But that just me

I am funded alot though, but even before I was funded, I could still hit 3k with heal with almost no equips on. And yea, you cant avoid ksers, but I'm just saying, I get ksed more on my priest than I do on any of my other players.

well the main reason some of us think we have low damage is because our 1v1 damage sucks. (you gotta admit that) As an I/L I've never had much problems with being ksed. I don't really get what I wanted to say myself I haven't had experiences like that so I won't know the pain until it comes to me. btw does not being allowed to attack during pqs include mobs other than bosses? just wondering
