It's because christians try to force unatural laws upon people and like to tell them how to live. People who say this base all their political views on hate and hate is the foundation of christianity for these people. They read the bible and interpret it in a way where they think that it's the only right way to live, everyone who lives in a way that doesn't go along with the bible is according to these people misguidanced. Well the only misguidanced ones are they since they read the bible with tunnelvision and no logic what so ever. It's like giving someone a book that tells you how to live and saying that no matter what your logical senses might imply, everything that is in this book is true and everyone who doens't follow it is wrong.

I have two gay cousins who are awesome (one is in her 60's, the other his 30's) and have been with their partners for years. My male cousin is actually going up to Canada to get married to his partner since California passed Prop 8 :/. Anyways, I don't understand why gays are so hated in American society today. So the Bible calls them an abomination, so what? This isn't strictly a Christian country because that would essentially make the Founding Fathers hypocrites.
