How musically compatible are you with your parents?

My dad is a musician, so he's really built his taste up over the years. He primarily enjoys prog, jazz, and blues-- which to be honest I don't really like much at all. But if there's one thing we've been able to find common ground on, it's Brian Eno. We both agree that he's the man. I was really happy to introduce him to this gem , as it was a perfect fit for him. In return, he turned me on to this . Very cool stuff. It means a lot to me to be able to share a love for music with him like that. My mom on the other hand doesn't really listen to music. I think the only CDs she has are like... Michael Jackson and Aerosmith. What about you guys

I know that my mom likes The Beatles. No clue about my dad. They did put up with my weeaboo phase, but I don't really know what kind of music they like. I kind of think it's better that way. :/

My family likes the same music.... accept me, its probably because I grew up with music blasting from every corner of the house.

And just as I posted, something came to mind. He likes this band called Brule, they do Native American instrumental with some stuff in whatever language they speak. Not sure if he still listens to them now, but when I was a little kid he had some ABBA, Ace of Base, and Enya which I liked.
