Cellphone + Popcorn trick?

Has anyone ever tried popping popcorn with 4-6 cell phones surrounding them and calling the phones? Apparently, it actually works because cell phone and microwave waves are almost the same. Video.

I tried it, it doesnt work. Also, all are clocks were on slightly different times so the alarms went of at the wrong times...
