When i woke up this morning(around 8 hours ago, i just came home from school) my throat was hurting badly. It was very dry, and hurt to swallow. Its not dry anymore, but it still hurts. Does pain killers work for a throat that is hurting? D: Or is there anything special i should eat to make it less painful or such? Right now, i'm drinking homemade hot cocoa, if it matters.

Lemon I don't know much about but try sugary hot tea with honey in it. Cleared out my nose as well if you have that problem. Edit: Lemons are acidic so won't that be really bad? They'll strip the mucus lining from your throat and make it hurt more. (using what little logic I possess and this might still be wrong)

Hot lemon tea. C: Add a few lemon slices, like 2 or 3, fill it up with hot water, mash up the lemons and then add sugar.

Just drink alot of hot tea with lemon, incase it gets worse you might want to see your doctor.
