Lvl 120 soloing pap

Hi there, as of yesterday morning I am now a 4th job aran and one of the goals that I had before even reaching this in-game milestone was to solo pap at 120. I am dexless and somewhat funded; I wield a kartasan and I will probably apple (2-3 times if needed) and also will be using amoria baskets. So my question is do you guys think this will be a difficult challenge with only level 3 overswing (made a mistake and put all 3 into overswing =O)? I have seen level 12x BMs do it so I am not so worried but I do not want to underestimate pap. Opinions and reasons please. Also for fellow arans or experienced bossing players leave tips and advice since I have only fought pap in party twice on my NL and have never fought a main boss on my aran.

Make it a real challenge, solo it for real, i.e. no apples and no baskets. coming from a sader who solo'd it at 10x. Good Luck in however you try it anyway.

Why solo? For the achievement? I'd say go with your guild.

Real solo? So your telling me that people soloing zak and etc using apple is not "real"? And I don't think you understand the fact that while your dmg is stable and etc, saders don't have to wait for a 50 hit combo to start doing significant amount of damage and then having to sustain that combo against a boss that continuously goes into his shell, dispells and stuns. No baskets? When have baskets/apples made soloing unreal or illegit? @above, Well I was suppose to solo pap on my dexless dk at lvl 10x but I quit it at 102 because I didn't like the idea of being weak or at himes till 130. So in a way this idea just came up, I guess after a month or so of grinding I would just like a nice challenge. Anyway tyvm for comments : )

Anyway tyvm for comments : ) [/quote] If you can look yourself in the eye and say that your 'solo' using buffs you wouldn't normally have was all you, not wasnt helped by those buffs then i have to say your moral compass is pretty off. You think Pap/Pianus isnt frustrating for a sader? dispel messing up combo means messing up panic , means messing up your damage completely?

[/quote] Yeah, it's really not that hard, it just takes time I tried to solo at 115 and would have succeeded if i had brought more pots (wasn't expecting to suceed) @talekah: i think iv met you before

I think you have the wrong meaning of solo. As me being the only killer = solo. This is the first time I have ever heard this foolish argument of using warrior elixir as not being a "real" solo. If that is the case then most solos are not "real" since 95% of players use some form of damage increase. Therefore someone using warrior elixir at pap is not soloing? Or if I train at himes using warrior elixirs then I am no longer solo training at himes? I am sure i can do it at 10x its more of not having the necessary funds at that time and not having that idea or goal. Honestly this idea of soloing came from watching a lvl 13x aran soloing on youtube; oh wait he was duoing because he used an apple. In short I am not trying to spend a bunch of money to solo silly little pap when I have many upgrades to make. Nevertheless gratz on your solo : ). GJ

[/quote] You have the wrong idea about solo/ True Solo = Under your own power, lol at you saying for warrior elixers, ever heard of Rage? People have corrupted the meaning of a solo, where it was just one person against the boss, no extra-ordinary buffs. Yes 95% of people advertising their Solo are advertising an Assisted Solo (i.e. they had assistance in completing the solo)

I believe the meaning of solo is attacking and defeating a boss without any added supportive skills from other players. From all my years of playing maple the concept of any attack buffs taking away from someones solo or making it illegitimate has never been heard since today. Also idk where the rage statement originated from as I didn't mention anything about saders/heros or what you used against pap I was just using that as the lowest att pot that would be used when bossing. @rangedanger9... I know the reason why I did not is well I made a mistake lol, as I mentioned above and I have gone on 3 zak runs and it has not dropped yet which is pissing me off. @Amazing... Do not take this in the wrong way but it seems as if you aren't really experienced with your aran because 50+ combo increases damage greatly, maybe you just have not maxed combo crit yet.

I've been soloing pap since 11x. Some advice I could give you... -First body of pap, stand right on the body (I have autopot btw) so if he stuns, hopefully you'll have body pressure buffed and it'll keep your combo up -Watch your buffs. It sucks when pap dispels + stuns because you lose your combo -Use the bombs to keep your combo going when pap goes into its shell -Second body's kb is 13k so if you can keep it constantly kb'ed it wont even have a chance of touching you
