| Ok, every1 says low luk with a DDS (doomsday staff) is a little better then a lukless. But, how? Clean avg Maple staff = 80 Magic attack, 1int. Clean avg DDS = 118 Magic Attack. (80luk req) The 80luk required for the dds takes 80int away meaning you could have 80 extra magic attack... that means the maple staff is about 160 magic attack (if you total in the ap you save by not having 80luk) and 1 int. Is this true or am i missing something? |

| You're forgetting free LUK on equipment. E.G. 17 LUK Zhelm + 23 LUK HTP = 40 LUK for free. Therefore you only lose 40 INT. -5 from Belt, - 4 from aura rings, - 8 from Circle of Ancient rings, do you see where I'm going with this? |

| It's not a little better, it's just that with unlimited funding low luk could beat lukless. you have to have a high enough stat dds for that to work and as you saw in the other thread you'd be spending upwards of 1 bill just to get a decent enough dds to beat lukless bishops. Edit: You'll often see maple shine wands/wisdom staffs scrolled with 3+ 30%s and the like in fm, they aren't too rare and are highly available. You'll almost never see dds' of that stature for anything under a bill. |

Low-LUK applies 23 base and still hits 999 INT. So at 200 with MW 30 the total stats are - LUKless - 999 INT + 148 INT - 4 LUK + 0 LUK Low-LUK - 999 INT + 148 INT - 23 LUK + 3 LUK Resulting in the low-LUK having effectively MORE stats than the LUKless. This allows the low-LUK, to, without any makering skills, wear higher-leveled gear (Therefore more INT base) than the LUKless, at no loss of INT. Therefore making them stronger. The other result is that with the Maker skill, the higher level gear you're capable of wearing, the INT bonus is substantially more than previous. The capabilities of wearing a level 80 overall with a maximum of (I think) ~17 INT clean is ridiculous. Especially given you can do so at 23 base LUK. |
Show me the math that leads to a low luk bishop with only 23 luk base being able to hit 80luk without the use of maker skill. At any rate, I stand by what I said, unless you can scroll a relatively godly (3 30%s minimum) dds a lukless could easily beat a low luk since you can easily find maple shine wands with 4+ 30%s worked on it. Also, since lukless don't have to worry about luk, all their equips can be made to focus on int, so they could easily maker high int equips as could a low luk maker luk equips. If you had the funding low luk would be the godliest though, but bishop is the worst class to try to have godly damage on. |

| You dont need to be low luck to equip a DDS, all you need is good luck equips (Sheild, Overall, Earring, Glove {purple wgs} ect.) |
Then you sacrifice more potential int/magic for luk which defeats then purpose of low luk. All of the mentioned equips could and usually are scrolled for int/magic for funded people. Assuming you're funded, normally you wouldn't be scrolling those things for luk. |

| Put it this way, with the LUK items nowadays you can obtain easily, a d day staff is tenfold to a shine wand. Let's gather up the common LUK items you'd see on a bishop nowadays. Base LUK (4) HTP +22 LUK (26) Z Helm +15 LUK (41) Black Belt +5 LUK (46) 120 Medal +2 LUK (48) Level 30 Lillin Ring, which is not hard to obtain +1 LUK (49) I didn't include Ancient Thought rings here to generalize it a bit more. Now let's assume he/she raised his/her base LUK by 19 (68 total LUK) This would enable the bishop to wear the level 68 mage overall, which can be made through maker skill for additional LUK. Note : this is all done with intermediate crystals Overall +5 LUK (73 total, enables you to wear the level 70 mage gloves/shoes) Glove(Dark Lorin) +4 LUK (77) Shoe(Gold Lapiz) +4 LUK (81) There you have it, 80 LUK achieved without having to sacrifice any major INT on items. Now let's do the math between a d day staff and a shine wand. D day staff average MATK - 118 Shine wand average MATK - 80 Subtract 19 magic from the d day staff since that's how much magic you'd lose for adding 19 AP into LUK. Result : D day staff - 99 Shine wand - 80 Though, it's true you sacrifice potential INT AP to wear a d day, the high base MATK of the d day staff makes up for that in the end. |

Edit : This is what I would do for a DDS if I'm going pure luckless (assuming you have funding) : HTP 22 luck Overall with 20+ luck Sheild with 10+ luck Targa for luck (+17 luck) Earrings with +10 luck 4 base luck total : 83 at a minimum But that would take alot of time and money to gather that stuff. |
You'd sacrifice so much potential magic that way with the earrings/overall/shield. It'd be better off to have some base LUK while using maker skill for the majority of your items. It's cheaper and easier. On the other hand, the shield would probably be a smart idea since INT shields are way overpriced. It could go both ways. |

| um i think that with advanced dark, saphire, wisdom, luck, etc. + 2 level ups the wand will overcome DDS. but forget about that uh #1, you can not go lukles + DDS without sacrificing luk equips for int equips, destroying the purpose of DDS. but with about 20 base luk + makered equips for luk+int+m.atk, HTP, Targa, lirin ring +3 to all, broken glasses, etc., DDS will overcome. however, this is all uscrolled equips. a lukles can easily take all that extra mesos from DDS and go get a godly shine wand. so we're talking about 500mill-1.5 bill for the DDS to overcome. why are we talking about this anyway, lukless gets to go lvl 1-120, low luk gets to go lvl 120+. both sides are happy. the end. and where is ravkin O.o |

| First off please talk about bishops and not mages in an all around surrounding... when I first saw this thread I was coming to tell you to shut the hell up. After reading it i've realized your mind cannot be changed. Lukless is always better unless you have 20b+ funding and a lot of patience. |
