Newtie training!

I'm a Lv. 87 Ranger, and I'm trying to train at Newties. I've tried 30 minutes of 2x, and I've only gained 21%. Am I doing something wrong? I'm gonna go all out with Onyx Apples ('cause I wanna reach 100 and wear a Nisrock soon) and 4x. Is it a good idea to use onyx apples? Am I going to level fast? o: If anyone could give me an idea of how much % I would get per hour, that'd be nice. Thanks!

Why not just train at typhons, probably twice as fast.

Newties aren't effective at that level because of the level difference. Newties are lvl 105, and your 87. You're probably loosing about 30-40% of your damage because of that. You need to kill a newtie in about 8 or less to be effective. Typhons are superior completely til at least level 100. I maintained 30%+ on regular exp there with medicore equips.

I gain 18-21% on Newt Party at lvl 114 on 2x. It's because of the level difference, weaker damage, and no party. I usually have a Priest in my party also.

Don't go to Newits till you hit lvl 100 or 105.
