IP Banned warning! (dont know if this has been posted)

This may not apply to all of you but i've been playing maplestory on and off since 06'. After this last patch you are required to change your password to log into maplestory (atleast I was). I dont know exactly what caused my bann but I do have assumptions. For those of you who have been playing maplestory as long as I was may be vulnerable to this as well. I have reason to believe that I was banned do to my mass amounts of maplestory accounts. Because I have been playing for years I have made just about everything from mains to mules to even pger's. I've since this patch asked me to change my passwords I had what I thought to me was a bright idea to change all my passwords at once so I dont have to deal with it later but I thought wrong. Nexon seen this as what they called "Suspicious behavior" and yes I was IP banned. There was a link where they asked me to go to to log it but I have no idea whats gonna happen from here on out. So my reason for this post is for all you maple veterans all you oldies try and limit the password changes to accounts you actualy use. I dont know how this works it could be I just had a rediculous amount of accounts that they found suspicious or it could even be that I changed numerous account passwords that they found suspicious but who knows just all of you be careful.

Yeah I'm having this too, I haven't changed anything yet. and it came up, the actual accounts made with my IP are minium. What the heck seriously..

I heard about this earlier today. From other people's responses I would have to say: No worries, just give it about an hour and you should be able to get back on.

you cant give it an hour. IP address is linked directly to your internet. as far as I know the only way an ip can change is if the lease is up, or you somehow get your modem/router to lose the IP signal, then pick up a different one. the unplug your modem method doesnt work though. and sometimes an ip address's lease can last like a month. btw if you do manage to change your IP, it will prompt you to reset your password again after you reactivate it. (your account gets deactivated once your ip is banned because nexon thinks ur getting hacked). so if you repeat this and change pws for all your characters again after resetting ip... guess what? odds are you will get ip banned AGAIN. what's stupid is you can change your pws for like 100 accounts and not enter in a single incorrect password or info and it will still ban you.

Too late for most of us @_@... Now we gotta send in a form and wait. This is ridiculous considering I typed in the password correctly for each of my accounts and it got flagged for suspicious activities... Does this mean every time you log on a few accounts on the same computer it IP bans you?

[/quote] I was posting my comment based on other people's experiences with the same problem. To my general knowledge, an IP ban can last just an hour.

Playing as of now, if they ban me for bypassing; whatever, they caused it in the first place.

I have tried using someone elses computer and connection and it said something like my ID was either deleted or block from connection so I have reason to believe that all the accounts I have changed the passwords too has been blocked. This is the only reason I can think of resulting in my IP ban. I successfuly changed passwords to 7 accounts before the IP banned occurred the IP banned happened trying to change my 8th account.

I mean.. Nexon seriously? I do own alot of accounts, but they are legitly mine with every piece of info.

This happens when you change the password of five or more accounts. Not sure if it has to be within a particular time frame though. However, a simple IP change works...

Anyone knows how to fully reset/change your IP while having wireless ? -edit- @above, I haven't changed a single password yet o_o.. & I'm IP banned.
