| I have an unlocked Iphone that uses AT&T as a service. What my parents are telling me that when you reboot the iphone the phone itself will lockup. I don't understand it though. The service we're using is AT&T so how will the phone lock up? Is it true? If you are using AT&T as a service, when you reboot the iphone, will it lock up? |

| Generally, if a phone is unlocked, it means it's no longer tied to a specific carrier. In this case, if it's unlocked from AT&T, you may use it on AT&T, T-Mobile, or any other GSM carrier that can support the iPhone. I'm not entirely sure by what you mean "lockup". I don't imagine it being locked back to AT&T. If it's unlocked, it's free of any ties to AT&T or any other carrier other than the contracts you signed to AT&T. If you mean bricking by "lockup", there's no reason for it to be bricked unless you're modifying it. |
