It was very depressing because it happened all so quickly and soon. It's like there is this emptiness in my heart, everywhere I look. But enough of my sob story. I just wanted to let you basilers know to live each day to the fullest. My dog was fine last night, but this morning she was so sick, eventually leading to my family putting her to sleep. Because of this, I didn't get to say good-bye to her like I wanted. Live each day with no regrets. Make sure you tell every family member that you love them, and make sure you tell your friends that you care about them. because one day, they won't be there anymore. It could be tomorrow, it could be in a few weeks. It could be in a few decades. Don't be afraid to take risks and cherish everyone you love. I don't want people to make the same mistake that I did. That feeling of regret can never be fully defeated. So this is my final good-bye to you, Sally. You were loved during your lifetime, and you are loved now. You will be missed.

Something similar happened to my dog. One morning she just wasn't her usual jumpy self. When I came down the stairs my mum was all like 'LUCY'S NOT MOVING, I CALLED THE VET -criessss-. I went ouside and she looked genuinely sad. I went and sat with her on her bed and I usually grab her head and put it on my knee, and this morning she just put it on there by herself and rested it there. The vet came and took her away and from the side window you could see her looking at us. It was so sad.

Sorry for your loss. I fear the day when my dog will leave me. I tell her I love her whenever I see her... even though it's futile since dogs don't understand English. Somehow, I think she understands me though. And I'm sure that Sally understood that you loved her. Hopefully that thought should give you some sort of peace at mind.

Sorry about your dog. 7 years ago, I had a dog, named Shadow. She was 13 years old, and she had to be put to sleep, she was blind, going deaf, and had tumors... Trying to explain that your doggy won't ever wake up to a seven year old is a very hard task. When the vet came, he put the medicine in, and I was trying to hold her in my arms. She had died in my arms. I instantly ran into my room and started to cry... ;x I feel for you. RIP Sally~
