Stretching out my Jacket

I have a jacket that I really like, but every time I wash it, it gets shorter, and I get a little taller once in a while. I do not want to buy another one, and I want to keep that one. How do I stretch it out so its longer(longer lengthwise, not width wise)? The tag says it is made up of 60% cotton and 40% polyester and that the hood/body is lined with 100% cotton.

get it wet and pull on it in whatever directions you want to stretch it. also, dont wash it in hot water and do hang it to dry. basically, follow the directions on the tag..

Get 4 horses/bulls/goats and attach a string from each animal to each corner of the jacket. Wet the jacket and send the animals off in opposite directions.

Drying it outside instead of drying it with a machine keeps it from shrinking.

@tsuxiit There are no directions on the tag but I'll try that. And I do hang it up to dry instead of using the machine but it stills shrinks a little.

Dry clean. :D Basically, don't machine dry, hang it up. Soak it in cold water, and then stretch it with your hands or tools, or whatever you have.

I heard vinegar works with shrinking shirts. I don't know if it'll work with your jacket. Good luck with the smell. =]
