Yes, this is another thread about Neo tokyo/city but i feel maybe clearing up a few things might keep the threads down and the flaming to a minimum also, Most people i observed just see the complaining, but don't know why people are complaining, im going to clear it up with what i know and this might help people see it from others (mostly high levels) view WARNING:im a high level personally more TOKYO HO!, so it might sound a little biased Neo City PROS Mapler standpoint: 1.new area 2.about most maplers (70+ if im not mistaken can explore it) 3. New bosses ( nerfed to the max though) visit this thread to see just how much they are nerfed, or rather nuked, city and tokyo differences 4.cool looking monsters 5. new hat (although useless for various reasons) CONS Maplers: 1.short storyline (compared to tokyo) 2.nuked monsters (refer to link above) 3. low level content 120+ highly displeased because they are stuck with skeles, Tot, without anything new or too look forward to. This is very discouraging. Though some people are empathetic and can feel others pain w/o experincing it per say, some would have to be 14x to actually understand why skeles and ToT for 70~ levels is so discouraging. And this is common sense, but leveling doesnt get any ezier as you get a higher level. Neo Tokyo PROS Mapler standpoint: 1.Epic 2.EPic 3.EPIc 4.EPIC! 5. lol ok but seriously, new 30attk stars 6.22 attk bullets 7.Many new neo weapons 8.stong very challenging bosses 9.End game content 10. Very long storyline, heard it takes about a month to complete 11.New epic hat, hats of all hats even though getting its full potential is near impossible but hey dats maple for you 12. Place away from training even though not all places are training places CONS Mapler standpoint: 1. mainly only 120+ can survive most maps Now from a business standpoint Tokyo is better to release than City, 1. Dont have a link to a source but a at a time the nexon CEO said 90% of their profit is from the top 10% tier of mapers. The number might not be accurate to this day, but most of you can agree that it must be at least 70/30 (10% tier/lower 90%). 2.due to recent hacking spree many maplers quit (especially high levels). Many were going to come back due to the release of Neo Tokyo, w/o that they permanently lost those players until they release new content. 3. Since 110+ buy more nx than 109-, althought bringing in new players is important, keeping veteran players is equally or even more important. 4. Looking from the big picture, "oh i cant explore neo tokyo but i want to it looks so cool seems only way is to level up!" thus these character level up spend more money on nx, and thus will most likely continue to. 5.Many ranged attackers would mass HP-Wash to survive Neo Tokyo's tough monsters. Though it is not necessary to hp wash but some people would just to enter to area 2-3 lvls earlier than they estimated or just that they feel they need to survive better. and this is geared towards many common com

Maybe I'm not remembering correctly, but I thought that when Neo Tokyo came out the people who played jMS said that although the storyline and graphics were awesome, jMS content designers made the monsters too hard to kill / hit too much for not that much exp relatively, so except for questers, people didn't usually even go there. (?) So I'm pretty confused over all the people raging that the place was nerfed. Is NeoTokyo good training?

[/quote] Not neccesarily, but all the monsters are kill able and some have really good drops. Also its a break from the usually skele/ToT. But many of the bosses give gd xp, (core blaze especially, many 4th jobbers get massive xp from core blaze runs, heard about 15-25m on 4x, and many ppl 2x almost always anyways so about 7-13 every core blaze.) And ive seen vids and it seems really ez, you just have to be at that part in the storyline though.
