Someone committed suicide last night

I recently learned today during 1st period that a sophomore had committed suicide last night. I didn't personally know the boy, due to him being a sophomore and because of that; we do not goto the same campus. I was slightly bothered by hearing about it, of course, because anytime anyone commits suicide is a depressing thing, even more so when they haven't even left high school. But, I was more bothered by the fact that all my classmates had to say was : "Why did that kid do it?" "Why? Who cares - I want to know how." "Bet he cut himself" Should I be disgusted in how they're acting? Or what? I mean I know many probably didn't know him, but that's pretty messed up; or am I the only one with a problem at how they're reacting to this? How would you react if a fellow student, one you didn't know, committed suicide?

Meh, move on I guess. They don't really concern me if I don't know them. The reactions of your classmates though are quite disgusting, I'd sock em one if they talked like that.

Wow your classmates definitely burn in hell. I would feel bad but not cry for them. I'd also think he is a pretty weak minded person to go and commit suicide.

When I was in high school this kid's little brother killed himself, I think he was either a freshman or a sophomore The story that was going around was that he said goodbye to his mom before going out to catch the school bus, but instead just casually strolled around to the back yard and shot himself. No note or anything. Apparently the dad was absolutely uncontrollable, wailing at the top of his lungs and stuff My only two thoughts were a) sucks for the family, and b) the kid probably didn't realize that whatever problems he had would just work themselves out over time. But what can you do :/

Who cares? It's his choice. The point is, you don't know him. Why is everyone so concerned about his choice. His life. Obviously no one cared when he was alive, why bother caring now? There's nothing left to fix, he's gone.

Weak-willed people are the ones that commit suicide. Just be indifferent torwards it.

You know, you guys can talk down on people who commit suicide all you want, but I think it takes a lot of balls to stare death in the face like that even if it is an unwise decision

It's None of their business in what was going on in somebody elses life, sounds like there just being nosey and heartless.. No your acting in the right way <3 atleast it shows your acting in a caring respectful mannor unlike your friends ..
