Welcome to another episode of Senyain's Wacky Hybrid Creations! Making you hate your characters since 2007. Today, we open with announcing the winners of the first half of round 1, as well as their final results! Here they are... From contest 1, the Panicked Dragonader (41 votes) Crushes the Hermader (10 votes) into his own Coma! From contest 2, the Master Priest (39 votes) smites the White Ranger (33 votes) in a near-miss for this bowman! From contest 3, the Submacopter (55 votes) torpedoes Nall (5 votes) and the Wolfy-Dragon (13 votes) as the hybrid creations' mount of choice! From contest 4, the Mirage Crusader (19 votes) outmaneuvers the musical charms of the Bard Knight (10 votes)! TWO SHALL ENTER, ONE SHALL LEAVE! Today, we have another set of freaks of un-nature to set to the vote, so grab your popcorn, sit back and watch as our furious hybrids, in all their Infinite Rage at their Creator, compete for your vote! This time, we've got a pair of Dragon Knights! Our first contestant was born when Duskreaper took advantage of that heavily-armored, sleeping guard near Sleepywood dungeon. Nine months later, the Shielded Hoplite was born! This mighty brick wall, lacking the dexterity for Crusher or the voice for Dragon Roar, is instead a wielder of mighty defensive powers not afforded to normal Dragon Knights! For one, he wields his spears and polearms one-handed, taking a 1 speed-class and 5% base damage penalty, but may wield any shield he chooses, scrolled in whatever way he likes. He also has mastered the Hero/Paladin skill Guardian, and combines that with his own signature support skill Fortitude, which extends the benefits of Elemental Resistance to ALL magical and physical attacks! Other party members may receive this support at half benefit (20% reduction). Our second contestant today appeared when Cookie lost it to a random female Hermit, who then broke his fragile heart a day later. Our result is the Swift Dragoon, who, unike the other Dragon Knights his level, unfortunately does not have the sheer reach to use Fury or the mental fortitude for Elemental Resistance. However, he has inherited some of his mother's mobility and dexterity traits! In addition to using Haste (self-only), he may use Flash Jump, and in the middle of his jump can even attempt to aim a charging attack! Should he manage somehow to hit with such an attack, it deals twice the usual damage! In addition, his dexterity grants him a +1 speed bonus to his Booster skill. Now, 5 years later, we take these chibi warriors and present them before you to seek judgment! In the end, who will be the true hybrid Dragon Knight?

BTW: I'd only vote for the Hoplite because I'm a HUGE Ancient Greek nerd. :D BTW2: Shielded Hoplite is... not needed. Hoplites are heavily armored soldiers that usually fight in a Phalanx. (Greek Warriors) So adding shielded into their name would be like Marine With a Gun or Shark with Teeth. For Hoplite, add a skill called Phalanx where Defense rate jumps a ton for the entire party and they automatically go into a "crouch" mode. This lowers their speed by a bit, but increases their ATT and ACC. Add a second skill called Sacred Band of Thebes (Or just Sacred Band... they were the best "special forces" of their time... playing the greatest part in demolishing Sparta's reign as top City-State and setting Thebes up as #1) This skill boosts the party's base stats by an amount depending on the classes in the party. (With a Sin, there would be a greater increase in LUK, Archer would increase in DEX, etc...) Everyone would get the boost from a % of the total amount of stats added up. A third skill called Thermopolye (spelling plox) should be added were you automatically end up with 300 HP if the attack should have killed you. The skill will then have a cooldown until it activates again. (Basically a shield from death).

^ I'd have put together stuff like that if I were going for a more in-depth class. Doing so in this context would probably a. leave things too badly balanced against the Dragoon and b. also badly overwhelm the detail I put into the previous contests' entries.

Are there any Cygnus jobs that actually get unique skills instead of nerfed versions of the Adventurer skills?

All of them have some somewhat unique skills. Soul Driver, Soul Blade, Soul Rush, Albatross form, Magnum and that other skill Windarchers get, Storm Breath, Poison bomb (Basically poison mist and grenade though), Vampire, Shark wave, some blaze wizard skills I dont care about enough to mention

I've never actually tried out the Cygnus jobs or their skills. How do the warrior skills operate? BTW, sorry about failing to keep up with this thread. I had a 1-day ban and then last night I was at the LI Basilers' gathering. Turns out the only people to go were me and two other random people named Darkwater and Eeveepony. Then this morning my dad and I both took some test for a census job we'd have in April and both scored 1 question short of a perfect score.
