Cannot update my iPod Touch?

Right now I'm trying to update my update my iPod to 3.1.3 i think.. and after the downloading is down it says that an error has occured. It says "There was a problem downloading the software for the iPod "Justin's iPod." The network connection has timed out. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, or try again later. How do I fix this? I'm sure I'm connected to the internet and It's active. What can I do?

Its not fully downloading the update. I wouldnt bother with it since nothing new is in 3.1.3, you could try restarting comp/internet.

It may be a problem with your iTunes itself. Try updating that. It worked for me, so I don't know what the problem could be.
