Which one would be better for training? When does the weapon attack of the PAC outweigh the speed of the icarus cape?

Icarus Cape 2. When you have a total of 140 (or close) speed without an IC2.

SenyainThe only time a PAC ever outweighs an Ic(2) in efficiency at everything except fighting stationary bosses is when you can reach 130% base speed with other equips (for example, 12 speed shoe, 8 speed bottom, 5 speed MoN pendant, and 5 speed belt). At that point a Speed Pill gives you max speed and it can't go any higher so the Ic(2) is pointless then. Also, a PAC isn't necessarily always a worthwhile purchase. You should make sure before getting a PAC in any event that you could not upgrade any of the following for cheaper: your weapon, your attack glove, and if applicable, your attack shield. This is a common mistake among newbies and especially low-level warriors (as well as some high-level warriors) who don't realize they could have gotten more attack by upgrading those with the money they spent on a PAC. If your equips are already so strong that you can't - which typically entails having an endgame weapon and a double-digit attack glove - then, and only then, is a PAC's low attack increase worth its price.

Well since you're a spearman you won't have that pg disabling problem with mounts so if you have a mount a pac would be better once you start himing. You just need to get used to mounting and dismounting quickly since you cant pot on mount.

It's best for a warrior to have max speed without a mount, especially for a tightly-spawning map like Himes.

Keep in mind that many people won't even train at himes without a priest to hs/lure for them, and if you have a priest to lure the monsters to you what else would the speed suit you for? And I frequently use the mount on all my characters even when training, like when I skeles on my bish or ice AM, I use the mount to jump onto the rope quickly then dismount and navigate around that way. The delay isnt even that big.

Senyain
Munmen : So would a speed top/bottom/overall be advisable? And how does IC2 help with efficiency?
Ic2 is a funding-conditional speed source in that it's pretty much the cheapest possible source of 10 speed, as well as a few STR points, but it takes up the cape slot. At the later levels when you get to very highly funded equips like an endgame weapon and high-attack glove (I'd estimate your other attack gear should value at least 1b+ before this), eventually a PAC can become an attack equip that's actually worth its price (though not until then) and at that point some might want to look into spending on other speed gear like a bottom and pendant, so that the cape slot frees up for a PAC. However, if it comes down to Ic2 to reach max speed vs. PAC while unable to reach max speed, then the Ic2 will always be more efficient (outside bossing) until you can get to max speed with other equips. For a melee class, the delay would be a *major* issue, especially with the short distance between mobs most of the time. A PAC's extremely small attack boost would not make a difference remotely compensating for that, especially given that the PAC is not even the most attack you can get for your money until you already have other very strong equips. Himes is not the only map in the game, and even there anyone who doesn't want to be bored to tears will want to move around the map as well as the luring Priest.
while you bring up a good point that himes probably wasn't the best example, the rest of the comment was stupid and uncalled for. senyain probably knows much more about warriors than you ever will. i will also bring up that skeles and ToT have monsters packed enough that mounting from mob to mob would be silly, but far enough away so that 140 speed really really helps.
So just because I happen to disagree with you "I have yet to post anything accurate?" I stated that once you get your mount as a DK it's better to have a pac, obviously a 1 att pac would be useless but I'm talking about 4+ att. Himes is the map that DK's frequent once they're able to hit them and sorry but last time I checked DKs dont pace the entire map when they get bored. Most DKs I've trained at himes with use the mount to navigate since most people would put att over walking speed. And guess what, when you get higher levelled mounts only get faster, no matter how much speed scrolling you ever do your speed will always be capped at 140 when walking, but on certain mounts speed goes over 140. Edit: In these posts I mainly focused on the DKs lv 70-120. As for Drks, they get a mount with even greater speed and rush which helps with mobs that are far enough to make mount/dismounting a nuisance but close enough to pack together with rush.
