Neo City patch possibly a lie?

So people have been making threads about the Neo City patch that is supposedly coming soon... and people are getting P.O.'d about the nerfing already. I looked at the links, and did anyone else notice something odd? First, the link to the Nexon forums (here) has the original announcement on it. But look at the source link below it. It links to another site which contains the exact same message. The source is WarCry, and when you link from there, it takes you to the Nexon home page, which has nothing stating that there even is a Neo City patch coming... Seriously, how can anybody find this credible, when the poster on the Nexon forums got their info from a site not affiliated with Nexon, who then links THEIR source information to nothingness? Mind you, it SOUNDS like a real patch, but anybody with grammar sense could have made that up. Anybody else smelling something fishy? There is no credibility anywhere in this Neo City patch thing. Nexon didn't say they were releasing it, and internet people are making stuff up.

It sounds fake just because Nexon usually has MORE grammar errors. You think I'm kidding... take a look at some old ones, have an english teacher review them, and let the red pen rip. I digress, it does look pretty shady.

True it could easily be fake. Usually little preview stuff are posted on the little "GM Blog" section of the nexon site, where they pretend they just made up the content right then and there.

I though it was sketchy. Why would someone feel the need to post something about a patch on the NEXON forums when it should be on the nexon site. Especially when that person is not a GM or forum mod or any type of Nexon staff. People need to wait for Nexon to announce things on the site before believing everything.

Well, possibly. But if the claims are true, and the patch is on February 17th, we should find out by tomorrow on the Maplestory Homepage if it's true.
