whats the point of low str?

i mean everyones telling me to go low str, but if you can make up the dex you lose to put into str when you lvl (im reg dex) whats the point of going low str? for ex: you put 12 ap into str, and get a 12 dex robe. doesnt that technically make up for the str you lost?

What you are saying is basically true. However, some stuff gives both str and dex (e.g. a zakum helmet), so you'll end up going low-str anyways.

Low STR ends up stronger, no matter how you slice it, specially if you are able to use high attack equips like PACs, Gloves, and Shoes.

Really, it's only to maximize the effect of Maple Warrior, as it only affects base stats.

take a metus: lv 90 it needs 95 str to equip it you are reg str, 95 you also have a zhelm, say 5/20 overall, a dep star, and a ... yellow belt. ok stats+zhelm+overall+star+belt 95+15+5+5+2=122 str you are way over the reg str for the metus, wouldn't you rather have those 27 points into dex?

I see your point, but going "Low-str" is not just leaving your str low, its just cutting your base str, and continuing on with STR from equips, which as if you go reg str, would end up with extra str, so instead of having extra str, you just save yourself some str and put it into Dex, making your build much stronger.

Basicly not all of your equips only add dex. Some also adds str, so you take all the str from your equips and make your base str as low as possible to use your final weapon. Going 10 str over isn't a big deal in damage, but you'll feel like you could've spent those 10 ap into dex so you won't go over.

The only reason is because Maple Warrior affects your base stats. Thus, having less points adding to Str, and more added to Dex will increase your damage more in the long run. Everyone automatically cuts away Str after they get equips, otherwise they're just dumb. ;(
