Senyain
4023 : I don't think DEX should go any higher than 40, personally. You already have 81 base, though, so it's too late. Be happy with your accuracy, even if it means that you can't hit as hard as your level ~50 friends.
Ignorance at its finest. Going 81 base dex instead of 40 doesn't make a difference of 8 levels. The lower spending on dex/acc gear means an increase in spending on attack gear and potentially more str gear opportunities, meaning in reality it makes at most a difference of maybe 4-5 levels among mainstream players. For a player with funds low enough, it's actually entirely possible that a 40 base dex warrior will hit less damage. That high damage you always see from low-dex/dexless warriors? Yeah, most of that's not coming from the fact that they went low-dex or dexless. Most of it's coming from the fact that they funded themselves with enough mesos to buy 20-40 weapon attack worth of equips more than a mainstream unfunded player.

I could whip out pictures of my Page at level 55-60 but I don't think I owned an attack WG yet (too expensive, my 22 acc WG cost less than a single 60% atk at the time) so maybe that's a bad idea. I was a lot lower dex though. Lowering base dex is pretty much guaranteed to cost more than buying dex equips, narf. So when it comes to a point that you can't buy any more str equips, I hope you're happy with your damage cause past that it's $3 per str.

Your first argument is rendered invalid because it automatically assumes that the warrior with higher DEX also has greater funds than one with lower or no DEX. (In fact, the opposite is usually true, but I shall avoid this scenario for the sake of being fair.) Assuming that both warriors have average and equal funds at level 59 (I would say 40M after a Zhelm), the STR equips that the high DEX warrior can buy will come nowhere close to the 77 STR difference between them and a DEXless warrior. As for your second argument, I shall refer you to my first sentence. The power difference you see is normally seen in higher-leveled warriors, not 5x or 6x warriors like the thread starter.

@pageturning+senyain: At level 50, I have about 29 attack and 55 str more than the "mainstream warrior" zhelm, 18 str top. I have 31 base dex, and my acc, when clean is about 113 with no acc shoes, dex cape, maple wep. Nowadays there are plenty of venues for making up the acc you'll need. The only real time you need to add dex is when you're looking into nrw/rigbols, outside of that, the difference is VERY clear, and at early levels. 1.8-2k at lv 33? That is a significant mark versus others 10+ lvls higher hitting the same.

I was fighting that frog boss from the event several months ago. I was 105 at the time, a 115 [?] Dk came by and watched me. He joined in to, then he stopped out of no where saying, "Woah! You hit higher than me?" I just F6'd. He asked me what my dex base was, Turns out I had 20 more than him, it really went down to the funding that I had. My dex helped me when training at WS, [I didn't get my Z-helm until level 98] But eh, 8 1 dex? That would annoy the hell out of me :/ I say that's a good place to stop though.
Perhaps, but each point of attack also makes a much bigger difference in damage percentage-wise at the lower levels. A warrior with 110 attack will do 10% more damage than one with 100 attack, whereas a warrior with 210 attack will only do 5% more than one with 200 attack.
No it doesn't. I'm assuming the same warrior with equal funds is comparing two builds. It's just that a higher dex warrior doesn't need to spend as much on dex gear.
4023 : Assuming that both warriors have average and equal funds at level 59 (I would say 40M after a Zhelm), the STR equips that the high DEX warrior can buy will come nowhere close to the 77 STR difference between them and a DEXless warrior. As for your second argument, I shall refer you to my first sentence. The power difference you see is normally seen in higher-leveled warriors, not 5x or 6x warriors like the thread starter.
But the problem here is that again, you're assuming there will be a flat 77 STR difference, which is neither realistic nor accurate. A dexless warrior will need to spend a LOT more on dex gear and will have less mesos left over for other gear like speed, weapon attack and STR. Until you get to a certain amount of funding they would also need to use some equips typically used for STR for accuracy instead. The difference comes down to how much funding you have. If you have enough to afford about 104 accuracy in equips (maybe more like 70 for a 6x warrior), and still have enough to afford a godly weapon, glove, and shield (if applicable) left over after getting that gear , then going dexless will result in higher damage. If you have enough to just afford the acc gear but only have enough left to get low-attack stuff, then it will not.
Senyain : If you have enough to just afford the acc gear but only have enough left to get low-attack stuff, then it will not.
Like you said, in 2nd job stats are way more important. 77 base str at level 60 is the difference between 300 and 223 str (34.5% more). Later on (level 160+) 77 base str is only 880 to 950 str anyway, which is 8%, but early on it can make a huge difference. If you have 223 str instead of 300 str, you need 35% extra w.atk to compensate for your lack of str. Let's say the dexless runs the absolute minimum cheapness - a 100% scrolled weapon, no attack glove/cape, 12 atk pots (or rrrage) and about 4 Blessing of Fairy. I would hope any warrior can afford a 65 attack clean Japanese Map (what's the average, 68?) so say they have 65+7 +12+4 = 88 attack. Then the high dex guy needs 119 attack to be stronger - let's say they have the same Blessing, then they need 103 atk weapon+glove to beat the 72 atk Japanese Map. So what's that, a 95 atk Japanese Map and 8 atk WG? A 14 atk WG and 89 atk Map? I don't think there's any way of combining it that does not cost hundreds of millions of mesos.
Senyain : I would stay where you are if you don't have a good reason for adding more, i.e. assuming you're not planning to solo any bosses that most warriors can't. However, I wouldn't lower it either. Just enjoy the fact that you'll virtually never need to buy a lot of accuracy gear, the wealth of potential speed sources, and the higher funds you'll have for weapon attack. Not to mention how much easier it'll be to equip a NRW or Ribgol without having to spend more on the dex gear required than on the weapon itself.
This. Wow he made use 80+ dex warriors look good.
