I was wondering what sniping was, cause I thought it was like stayin at a plat where you can throw stars or just atk wihout bein hit. I saw someone saying to snipe newts or snipe Vikings for lvls 8x and was wondering what sniping really IS, and how I can Do it as a lvl 85 chief bandit. I played round with my build a little... 5 me, 5 mg, max bot, 1 pp, 2 assaulter. Range is like 19xx~21xx ( is this strong?) and I'd like some form of advice/tutorial? On sniping... Thanks!

It's what you just said. Although I don't know if they mean to just spam assaulter.

Nice damage range.. but I think what they meant was using boomerang step from a platform.

Oh... In a sleepy guide from a year ago he guy said to snipe Vikings with assaulter, and on an old bm thread someone said sniping newts was good exp

i think you can snipe with BoT since it's an aoe but i don't know anything about bandits lol

If a platform above you is low enough or a plat below you is high enough and the monster is tall enough, you can "snipe slash" through a monster on it without Assaultering onto that platform, keeping you on the "sniping plat." Not a main source of exp, but a good technique that can be used for single monsters. xD BoT can "snipe" too, but there's no where I can think of where you can sit and snipe with it all day and get exp like a Hermit sniping Newts. xD

At the stormbreaker plat at Lower Ascent, you can kill stormbreakers with BoT without getting hurt :o

BoT range is actually pretty decent. I was able to hit multiple stormbreakers from a platform without them hitting me, so sniping is possible without BS, but the range is reduced. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPs ^^^^^^^^^^

it probably means to use assaulter without getting hit while making use of the stun effect to keep monsters still and to stop them from attacking u back. also boomerang steps range is HUGE so u can use that to attack enemies without them getting near you. at bosses like zakum i can stand in front of archers/sins/corsairs and still hit zakum due to the uber range of the skill

You can snipe newties as a low leveled shadower by using bstep, and you can "snipe" vikings because of the map layout. you can assaulter underneath them without them being able to hit you because of the way the platforms are set up. It used to be a good way of training before all the good places for BoT came out lol.

You can still snipe with Assaulter at Vikings. When they go down the little blue ramps, you can simply strike back and forth underneath them, unable to be targeted.
