BF strategy? (For ranged classes mostly) Need an opinion

Well, I have given this some thought and also, I must give credit to those brave souls in JMS that gave me this idea... Since they use summoned monsters to take hits (instead of taking damage from the main bosses) you take much less damage than you would've, and you survive too :] I applied this to Bigfoot, and now I find it somewhat easier to get it done, and live :] -Throw a Homing Beacon at Bigfoot -Shoot cannon a few times, hop off boat, recoil quickly away, find a tree/large mob of jr wraiths to take a hit if I reach the end of the map -Plant a summon on the corner if I have time (octo turret) so it doesn't get stuck in the corners -Repeat over and over till dead (True this may not be the fastest way to kill it for some ranged classes, notibly archers for puppet strategies, etc. , so feel free to criticize and leave suggestions. Note this method also takes me around an hour, so there should be some room for improvements somewhere.)

Summoning Octopus is an horrible idea. Not only does it shoot at the jr wraiths, but it also takes time. You hardly have breathing room when you hit BF and recoil.

[/quote] octo summons only work if im within a certain vicinity, so its not too bad, but you make a point, thanks for your comment :]

i sugest not bfing. its hard enough for an nl, i think you should go to bigger better bosses

@ fryman: I personally do Anego more often, but I also love a good BF fight for fun or getting a friend a toe. @inherarms: I AM a 4th job slinger o.o.

I usually just: 1)agro BF 2)cast puppet 3)spam hurricane while it's attacking puppet 4)wait for puppet to disappear 5)repeat 1-4 Tried this in Twisted Paths...helps if you know how to spawn from one end of the map to the other so you can go back and forth.

Impressive, and I can't argue as you stated this is probably not the most efficient way. Well I mean, worth the time to kill it/exp gained.

Bfing is mostly technique, I agree with the NL above. Any room for improvements? Or evading possible ksers
