ok, this is getting frustrating

so to all the fellow teens with lots of acnes and scars on there face, i have to say its definitely not easy to get rid of them.. i have been taking acupuncture to get rid of my acne. this means that i get needles smaller then syringes poked on my hands, elbows, legs, toes, back, stomach, and my face. in all? maybe about 20 needles... and they all hurt just a tiny bit, not so bad. but the bad part is when the doctor has to twist the needles, that makes you dumb and gets a sharp pain. so today, i learned i can't eat meat as much as i usually do. i usually get meat every day, but from now on i can only get it 3-4 times a week. not so bad, but i will probably go hungry without meat :/. so this is probably the worst.. my doctor gave my mom powder medicine for my acne, like a spot-on treatment. the trick? i have to mix my SALIVA with the powder.. so my face stinks and it feels nasty. saliva does have stuff in it that kills the bacteria though, just brush your teeth first. overall, im not complaining, just telling how.. weird and sometimes horrible the adjustments are to my diet, medicine, etc.

acupuncture is a bogus treatment that does not work, regardless. If your spots are that bad, you either really need to change your diet and eat much more healthier stuff or moisturise your face more and wash it often (or both) Sounds to me like you're having too much meat o.o I mean sure protein is important but you dont need to eat it every day. Maybe start eating fish more instead of meat, omega oils should help with your complexion a little bit. Cut out any junk foods and stick to fruit and veg.

[/quote] im pretty sure acupuncture is not bogus. theres proof on the internet, books, and from the people (like me) who has went though the whole process. my first week going though the thing did help erase my acne by a little. i already am eating healthy, and now i cant eat meat. i wash my face 2-3 times a day, washing it even more will deprive my face of the natural oils i need.. which will lead to even worse skin conditions

Acupuncture is a pseudoscience. It has never been empirically proven to work. :/ But I'm not going to prattle on about that, if you want reasons as to why it's a sham, then please google it, but I assure you that it is not benefiting you in any way aside from psychological affirmation.

You should just take accutane/isotretinoin. It worked for me, and I had HORRIBLE acne. But you need to go to a dermatologist and take blood tests once a month :o

That sucks a lot. My best friend is always self conscious about her acne scars, even though she doesn't get pimples anymore. I'm very grateful that I've only had like 2 pimples in my life..
