bleh maybe it's just me, but i don't seem to be quite fond of it. on the bright side it's easier for the mods to find out if someone is trolling, because now there's a preview of the topic on the forum page. why add the emotes though? o_O share your thoughts about the new layout of basil's forums. :P edit: maybe i don't like it, because it seems too jumbled up together or something. lolol yes means you do, no means you don't. i apologize for the confusion.

I dislike the Icons and find the medals to have no point at all. The blue posts, well I can't seem them since I'm using a theme and don't really care anyways.

[/quote] yeah i think that's why i don't like it either. the icons are slightly distracting and make the forum look crowded imo. *some medals are pointless imo too. however some are slightly helpful. for example if you have a question and two people answer it very differently. you'll have better luck trusting the one with the suspension medals, in most cases. :3

the emotes are cute at first, but they just get annoying. x__X; the summary is nice, but it adds too much text to the site. I'd like a mouse-over that gives you the summary so you can see more of a thread to see if you like it, but don't have to see the summaries for threads that aren't interesting.

Ot: Yay....I am the lone horse that has voted for "yes" thus far.... I see nothing wrong with any of these new features. They do not cause any harm to me. They also do not give me any special benefits that are to my advantage over other Basilers. I can do the blue post thing but that is only if I make a thread and that only helps repliers to know which post is mine. None of these new features cause any harm to anyone. No one has used these new features to cause any harm to anyone else, afaik. MrBasil is giving us more things to play with and all you people can do is complain. MrBasil isn't try to harm us with these new features. MrBasil is trying to make us happier yet you people can't be grateful. I feel sorry for MrBasil for trying to help out everyone since everyone includes all these ungrateful people.

If it ain't broke don't fix it.

With all these thread summaries, thread medals, and faces and stuff, it feels bulky. I mean... I guess I could learn to live with the emoticons/faces MAYBE. But the summaries have got to go. Like many have already suggested, either they should be displayed ONLY on mouseover or they shouldn't be displayed at all.
