| What part of pretty much exactly the same don't you understand? Both page and fighter can do great at cpq if played correctly. |
cpq, the use of rage is pretty much negated by the use of a warrior elixer before you go in. plus most fighters following the better guides wont have rage anywhere near useful around those levels. Both are pretty much equal at CPQ and each class will excel at different things in the long run I stick by my answer of Spearman, mastery is for pansies. |

| well, i've never seen a 3rd job page or fighter, but if you mean wk->pally and sader-> hero it's up in the air. no one really knows how strong they will be comparatively after the balance patch, so... just pick one. |
Y'know, I'm a bit suprised... for someone who often talks about cost efficiency, I was not expecting you to even mention Warrior Elixirs. Also, if memory serves, a Fighter would have Rage maxed sometime during the CPQ levels (In order: 19 Mastery, 6 Booster, max Rage, max Power Guard, max Booster, max Mastery, max Final Attack, 1 dump point). Ultimately, she is right - Fighters and Pages pretty much have equal footing. As for going 1-handed vs 2-handed... well, at low levels, you won't need the attack shield, so that's one good thing going for you. Still, you can get 2-handed weapons that can match the speed of 1-handed swords during 2nd job. If you honestly are planning on going full-blown 1-handed and buying an attack shield early on... well... I don't reccomend it. As it currently goes, decent attack shields are ridiculously over-priced. Since you can get the same overall effect from going 2-handed with some weapons for a fraction of the cost, it makes more sense to skip the shield at this time. Another thing to also remember is that 2-handed swords do have better reach (which changes in 4th job). If we get Neo Tokyo and Kaede Castle soon, going 1-handed with an atk shield may once again be a worthwhile choice (especially for end-game). At this time, it's just too costly to buy the shield. Mind you, if you don't plan on getting an atk shield, 2nd job isn't a major advantage or disadvantage either way, so do what you want. Both classes pretty much wield them with the same effectiveness, so pick which one you like more. |

| i follow the PG before rage theory, if a warrior by level 38-ish cannot afford to train with warrior elixers then they are doing something wrong, especially with the savings of PG added too. My preferred CPQ build is also PG first... just a different take on things, if you had a beastly att shield saved away, early levels is the best time to use it, it will have a bigger affect on your range due to your att total being far smaller. |

It just comes down to whether you like elemental slashing (fire, ice, thunder, and holy) or have rotating orbs (blue in 3rd job, hot pink in 4th). |
