This is going to be long, but very informative, if you have a short attention spanned or are not interested in this topic leave now. Pot is not harmful to the human body or mind. Marijuana does not pose a threat to the general public. Marijuana is very much a danger to the oil companies, alcohol, tobacco industries and a large number of chemical corporations. Various big businesses, with plenty of dollars and influence, have suppressed the truth from the people. The truth is if marijuana was utilized for its vast array of commercial products, it would create an industrial atomic bomb! Entrepreneurs have not been educated on the product potential of pot. The super rich have conspired to spread misinformation about an extremely versatile plant that, if used properly, would ruin their companies. Where did the word 'marijuana' come from? In the mid 1930s, the M-word was created to tarnish the good image and phenomenal history of the hemp plant. Marijuana used to be called Hemp, but they changed the name of it, here are some interesting facts. -All schoolbooks were made from Hemp until the early 1900s -It was legal to pay taxes with Hemp in America from 1631 - 1820 -In the 17th and 18th Century it was a crime to not grow Hemp, and you could be jailed -George Washington grew and smoked Hemp -For thousands of years ship sails and ropes were made from Hemp, "Canvas" is Dutch for "Cannabis" -80% of all textiles, fabrics, clothes, linen, drapes, bed sheets, etc. were made from hemp until the 1830s -The first Bibles, maps, charts, The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were all originally printed on Hemp -The first crops grown in America were Hemp -The Hemp Industry goes back as far as 5000 years, to Ancient China and Egypt -Some of the world's most renowned Paintings were painted on Hemp In 1916, the U.S. Government predicted that by the 1940s all paper would come from hemp and that no more trees need to be cut down. Government studies report that 1 acre of hemp equals 4.1 acres of trees. Plans were in the works to implement such programs Henry Ford's first Model-T was built to run on hemp gasoline and the CAR ITSELF WAS CONSTRUCTED FROM HEMP! On his large estate, Ford was photographed among his hemp fields. The car, 'grown from the soil,' had hemp plastic panels whose impact strength was 10 times stronger than steel The Wonder Plant Hemp has a higher quality fiber than wood fiber. Far fewer caustic chemicals are required to make paper from hemp than from trees. Hemp paper does not turn yellow and is very durable. The plant grows quickly to maturity in a season where trees take a lifetime. ALL PLASTIC PRODUCTS SHOULD BE MADE FROM HEMP SEED OIL. Hempen plastics are biodegradable! Over time, they would break down and not harm the environment. Oil-based plastics, the ones we are very familiar with, help ruin nature; they do not break down and will do great harm in the future. Perception : Pot is not harmful to the human body Throat cancer, brain damage. Perception : or mind. Myelin damage, several mental illnesses in those with genetic predisposition to such diseases. Perception : Marijuana does not pose a threat to the general public. Intoxication-related car crashes.

Marijuana in its most pure form is deadly and toxic to the human body. That's why there are things such as bongs to help prevent the contact of bad chemicals.

As I am up for legalizing it, I would choose to leave it illegalized, more people like in 5th graders bring up the fact that they say this "im so cool i smoke weed". But if we legalize it, even though it'll help the economy, it'll actually help people get the weed they want, causing problems.

AnbuNinja : It doesn't matter. Most of the people on this site that want pot legalized are under 21 and don't know what they're talking about. When you get older, there's way too much at risk to use marijuana even if it's not technically "bad" for you. The main reason people over 21 don't smoke weed is because alcohol is so much better.

There is a disadvantage of having pot legalized like what previous Basillers have said such as metal problems and such. But still, people can use pot for a good cause and they should produce "pot license" so that people could use it for a good use.
