because hitting children is illegal now? besides, i dont think its right for teachers to hit children. discipline should be instigated by parents and family members, not teachers.

Because some parents are little betches about their precious smart ass kids being stupid in class so they complained and now it's illegal. I'll admit some teachers are a bit insane when it comes tot he whole punishment ordeal.
