Item Guard?Useless?

Hey guys, I really don't know if anyone's clarified this before but what's the use of those Item Guards? I saw one that lasts 365 days now, wow......but why? Does it just protect your item? From what? Does Nexon expect us to get hacked? O_O Or maybe Nexon thinks we're stupid enough to sell items we would want to keep later and regret it, which does happen..... What is Nexon trying to say?

Don7Halcon : Man, I seriously think that's just weird though. I mean, it sounds like they're trying to say the wrong message. Either, "Hey, even WE know you're gonna get hacked so we'll help you with this NX Item because our HackGuard isn't good enough to do so." Or, "Hey, we know you're kinda dumb and indecisive so we'll give you an NX Item that will lock an item for you even up to 365 Days until you make up your mind on whether to sell it, trade it, or keep it. Happy Mapling!" No offense Nexon, but that just puts me off.... I can't believe people still think that people get hacked because of devices. Most hacks that get through the hackshield are the advantage ingame type. Most people that actually do get hacked is because of their own stupidity, even though they get reminded over and over again to not give out info.

well it sounds like a scam cuz the hackers could just delete ur char or drop all ur other items

but it only lasts 90 days o.o even if it says 365 its just to trick you into buying it =D i wonder if u can only guard one item...like if u can change ur mind o.o about the item u choose to guard...

The item lasts 90 days before it expires (if you don't use it by then), if you do use it, the lock should stay on for the whole 365 days.

^At YueRiku, yeah to be honest I'm not too sure how hacks work so maybe their hack shield simply cannot protect against everything. I understand that. It just pisses me off though that it can't cuz it doesn't give you that 100% safe feeling all the time. Eh, oh well. I never give out my info but keyloggers and crap can still steal it >_< I think it's smart that Nexon's taking precautions to hacking but I just really don't like the message they're sending to the players....that basically even THEY know there's chance you might get hacked and it's the best they can do. It just seems like they're admitting defeat. ANYWAY, if only all NX Items lasted for 365 days......woot.

Item protector should be free, as an added protection against hacker and what not.
