AnbuNinja : The same exact age? If not, then maybe Julie was born on Jan 1st. Then the mom got pregnant again and had Jill that same year. This. I have 2 classmates born in the same year. One in January and one in December. They are the same age and are in the same grade.

How about Julie's mother and father got divorced, and Jill's mother and father got divorced. (Them having different parents at the time) and then Julie's mother or father got married to Jill's mother or father.
