Why do people dis icies?

well im throwing one set of tobis and a bunch of icies cuz im poor but im wondering why do so many people say things like "Save ur money and buy some real stars" or "eww what a noob he throws icies" and stuff like tht when they only throw kumbis or maple stars which have the same atk? does it really make a difference except for the price of 1 set of imaple stars u can get like 50 sets of icies?

Maple stars are worthless. icis are looked down upon because they're cheap and therefor, whoever's using them can't be dealing out much damage

lol well im gnna have about 130m after im done wit gettin my glasses on my cleric and sell all mah scrolls so would i be gettin a bunch of steelys with the extra 30m (zhelm needed)

icies are crap because they cost 2k per pack and every lvl 10 has them :P and good idea about buying steelies with your leftover money. 30m will getyou 6 packs and thats plenty for your lvl. or you could buy a Zrun (not go b/c you would die) but getthe run leader to get you a helm, gift him scissors and getthe helm for 40m. then you have money for 6-7ilbis or 10 steelies (more than enough) and money for a dep star or something

i throw subis >D but actually its as bigbad said icys cost 2k each and their easy to get so ppl think your noob and all if you use them but if youre poor and need the atk its the best.... at least economically

I agree, it's ridiculous. I have tobis w/ icies as backup and until recently I had all icies. However I outdamage most people with ilbis, so it's ridiculous. I can upgrade my atk by 10 for 100m by buying a wg whereas ilbis add 6 atk for the same money, people use stars as a way of measuring how strong someone is but realistically it's crap.

people tend to sacrifice too much money on stars for 'looks'. i used tobis on my sin and outdmg'd many ibli users thanks to good choices [i had 47 atk gig vs high 3x-mid4x atk gig's]

ok ony my NL i was looking at damage on crit i did ilbi, steely and icys. i found that i cant hit as high on crit with ilbi. icy hit higher than ilbis and steelys hit highier than icys in crit.

Yep, as other people said stars are one of the last things you want to upgrade because they cost the most for the attack they add. People just get good stars for the looks / social status.
