AR First: Questions

I recently reached ranger (finally). I figured I'd go arrow rain first since it allows for more proactive, efficient training. I got up to 75 today thanks to 2x and pirates, but I feel like i can do better than that. My current build looks like this: 1 Strafe 5 Mortal Blow 10 Arrow Rain My gear is pretty terrible right now, and my damage range is a pathetic 652-1146 (No WG, 87 atk Kandiva). I've pretty much read every sticky and know where I "could" be training, but what I really want to know is where i "should" be training. Would I be correct in assuming WR?

Well, when my BM was your level, (longlongtimeago), AR first was always the way to go. I went WS from 75-78, gobies from 78-85, and newts from 85-120. But then again, with WR and all these new training spots im not sure whats ideal. And im not sure if you can follow the same path i went, because my equips were a lot better. ;X

Ranger, I have a similar build, im just going to Max arrow eruption and go to Typhons at 78, but you need pot mesos (mainly for HP).

You went AR first, and went to Newts at lvl 85? You had like what? 15 Strafe at that time? That's like the most pointless use of an AR build ever, lol.

If you are up for some potion burning but incredible good exp, go to Typhons with AR. Now. I started with 7 rain. If you dont mind burning barbarian elixir after barbarian elixir, enjoy your 40% an hour.

Getting Arrow Rain first was pretty much ridiculous. Then the Forest of Golems came out, and Arrow Rain got more popular. Pirates, Wolf Spiders, and Typhons now all promote Arrow Rain first to the point where its the new standard. So like a year ago-ish.

And im not sure if you can follow the same path i went, because my equips were a lot better. ;X I don't know how long ago that was, but Strafe build was the better build long ago since there were actual training spots you could use Strafe at than Arrow Rain/Eruption. Only with the introduction with Herb Town and New Leaf City (Gryphons, Wolf Spiders) was it a viable choice.
