Random firefox crashing

Firefox crashes randomly every once in a while, and it says firefox has an error and crashed. I dont know whats wrong, I dont use internet explorer. Helps D:

Firefox will crash every once in a while :/ If it's too frequent, then there may be a problem with site content or the files.

If it happens to much then error report it. Or you can delete and re-install.

Interesting- Firefox NEVER crashes on any of the three systems I have it installed on. As opposed to Internet Explorer, which chokes if you sneeze.

Firefox will occasionally crash on the two systems here for seemingly no reason, and IE usually works fine until two videos try to play at once. (Those annoying ads...) Both have very serious memory leak issues, though... Firefox holds the record with 1.1GB used once. IE came close at 700MB in one tab. Back on topic - I would say reinstall Firefox. If that doesn't solve your problems, all I can suggest is to use another browser, such as Opera or Chrome.

I had this same problem once; I pretty much guarantee it was from a faulty add-on; well, at least for me. I used Chrome for about 2 months; and when I dared to venture back onto Firefox, it began to stop crashing every 10 seconds.

Try reinstalling it, then if that doesn't work, contact Mozilla.

Reset firefox by going through the following method: Firefox Preferences Reset: 1. Open my computer and go to tools>folder options>view tab. (In vista, it's Organize>Folder and search options>View tab). -Select "show hidden files and folders" -Uncheck "hide extensions for known file types" -Uncheck "hide protected operating system files (recommended)" 2. Now browse to the following folder... In XP: C:>Documents and settings>Username of the account that you are logged into on your pc. (Displayed at the top of your start menu if you open it)>Application data>Mozilla>Firefox>Profiles>Randomlynamedfolder.default> In Vista or Windows 7: C:>users>Username of the account that you are logged into on your pc>App data>Roaming>Mozilla>Firefox>Profiles>Randomlynamedfolder.default> 3. Now that you are there, right click>copy on your bookmarks, reduce the window and right click on your desktop>paste. 4. Now that you have backed up your bookmarks, restore the window up again and click "back" four times. 5. Delete the entire "Mozilla" folder. 6. Open firefox, go to google and bookmark google. 7. Close firefox. 8. Just like you did in step 2, Browse to the firefox folder where you got your bookmarks file from earlier. 9. Right click>copy your bookmarks on your desktop, and paste them as you did before, but this time into that open window from step 8. (Basically putting your bookmarks back where they were before). Select yes if prompted to overwrite. 10. Close the window and open firefox. It should work now. You will need to get any add-ons or themes that you previously may have had in firefox, but hopefully the problem should be resolved.
