Does Dex really matter so much?

ok so basicly i am now making a new fighter. (HeroDotCom, Add me in khaini) and i was wondering, so many people now have low dex (4~ 20) and i was wondering does it really matter much? i mean if you have a high base dex cant you just buy str/dmg equips instead of dex/acc equips? any way i am funding this char with approx 25~30m so where do you think i should aim my dex ( if it matters....) thanks ~cam

Go high dex! By all means. Have fun finding str equips, and then have fun paying more for the same stats, and have fun realizing theres more items that can be scrolled for dex then str, and have fun realizing that you need acc and not dex, and have fun realizing that when you have base 200 acc you could have had higher damage if you only had started with lower dex.

Basically, go low dex and get accuracy equips, don't go high dex with str/attack equips.

No it's useless. Keep your Dex at 4, even with equips. That's called efficient Mapling.

............... You didnt need to be that much of a jerk about it, what Lynx tried to say, was that ofcourse it matters, a mere 40 extra str can increase your damage by quite alot. When i started, i started with enought to fund a dexless 200mill if ur wondering, but stupidly i didnt know what that means and barely managed to save myself, caped at 60 base dex. What i am saying is with your amount of funding you shouldnt be consedring dexless, if you want you can cap earlier than me but I think 60 base dex works out pretty good.

There are way more things that can be scrolled for dex as compared to str. You often cannot make up for all the extra dex solely with str equips.

You can have atk/str equips with your acc/dex equips at the same time of staying dexless :/

i dont mean having high dex. i was just wondering if a dexless warrior would do that much more then a normal/slightly low dex warrior. people didnt have to be so jerky about it.... so what lvl dex would you recomend for me then 0.o

Dex equips add more stats, plain and simple 30% dex overall: 5 dex 3 acc ( ~ 8.75 str) 30% str overall: 5 str 3 wdef ( ~ 5 str) 30% str top: 3 str 30% dex bottom: 3 dex 2 acc ( combined 7.5 str per slot, but only 7 slots) Actually, that and the cape are the only items which even have scrolls for str. So yeah. Anyway, even if you are wearing str equips - for example, my 20 str top + 3 str bottom - you can stay pretty low dex. My base is 35 and I have 163 base accuracy. 4x30% overall dex = 20 dex 12 acc = 35 str equivalent just from scrolls. Toss in some 60%s and you can get up in the 60-stats range from a decent clean overall.

atm i think i might TRY 15 dex, i can merchant as i go i guess. pan to, when i get to 50 merchant long and hard to get a zhelm around 60 ish
