As many of you are starting school again, I thought it might be a good idea to have a thread to help people out. What better way to learn something than off someone who is learning it themselves Of course, I don't know all the answers. But I'll try my best to help you out, of course I'm sure there are many other who could contribute. Of course, we won't write out essays for you, if you think that's what we'll do. No, more like answer an odd question, or write maybe the start to a paragraph if you're lucky :P I'll try to keep this updated as possible, subjects that you can ask me on are: English Literature, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Post WWI&WWII History, Calc and Stats.

Argument in that problem is an element of the real numbers.

Edit: About the pendulum question, wouldnt the mass of the pendulum effect the pendulum by causing greater or less gravitational pull?

When the pendulum is at it's peak there is greater potential energy as it has more mass. BUT-... when it goes up against gravity it is harder as it has more mass. So you see, the mass cancels out from both sides.

Epsilon-delta proof: Find the limit and prove that the limit is L. The limit as x approaches -4 of (x/2 - 1) This isn't a homework question. I just never fully understood the process and proof since I last learned it 2 years ago.
