so as we all know, people date in maple. now me personally being almost 17, i have a girlfriend in real life, and even if i didnt i would still only date in real life. Now i do understand younger people "dating" in maple. i myself had an internet girlfriend when i was 12, i believe. what i do not understand is people my age dating in maple. i sometimes say " but you don't even know what they look like" and they say looks don't matter and call me shallow and other mean names. but can you honestly say you could have an ok relationship with somebody you don't find even remotely physically attractive? well, let me know what you think. i have a feeling the only people to disagree with me are those who are maple dating or those who would.

You would never EVER go out with ANYONE who you thought looked disgusting as shet just because they had a good personality. Wow. OT : its stupid how so many people care about looks over personality, thats like thinking of a girl as their body and not who they are, Example : i had a friend who dated a "hot" goth girl, this girl is (how can i put this...) unpleasant, i never went anywhere with him wehile she was there, he based girls on looks and it ended up badly, its stupid to date someone just because you think she is hot, i'd never date a girl even if she was hot if she didnt have a good personality, Shallowness Fails.

Maplestory is just a world of pixels. I mean if the kids were too little to not understand a little pixel relationship people do for fun, they shouldn't play these games, or never have a little relationship. It's just for fun, and people shouldn't take it really seriously.

Yeah I used to have that kinda crap, then I realized "Hmm...I think being able to touch and be with someone is much better then saying "Oh baby dont worry we'll see each other in 4 years and when we do it'll be SOO romanticccc <33333" So I moved on with this damn game and got a real girlfriend.

In real life, I don't judge people by their looks, but by their personality. In Maple or anywhere else on the internet, internet relationships are just stupid. What if you're actually "dating" some 36 year old freak, who lies about being around your age or something?

For all I know, if looks didn't matter your online "girl"friend could be a grown male and sexual predator chatting it up with you and getting off on that (This is not meant to be offensive or comical, this is a very likely situation). If you think looks don't matter then think about THAT. I've seen many people say that they are going to meet with their "boyfriend' or "girlfriend" soon, even though they've never seen each other, because they live "real" close. There is serious danger here so to all of you who think you can trust a "stranger" because they have a "cute" female character or vice versa then think again. Even "trust" itself extends to such things as sharing accounts and loaning things so, BE WARY of online relationship. Try this: Look at my avatar and then ask yourself, "Is he an orange-haired normal 16-year old black male who resides in Canada?" For all you know I could be EXACTLY that OR I could be something...more. ;) OT: Personally, looks aren't a whole issue for me. Over the past years, I've discovered that I'm generally more attracted to "smart" girls and that generally "INCREASES" my perspective of their beauty. Physical looks is just an attraction thing to DRAW perspective mates (kind of like mating) but then you need to actually be able to sit down and have a meaningful conversation with the person in order to spark something.
