Playing maple on vista

So, I am right now downloading maple after a quite big break. But this time, I got a new laptop and vista on it, so I was wondering is there any diffrence in playing maple with vista? Is it the same as if I were playing with xp?

Only difference is that you will d/c at major bosses (namely Zakum) unless you alt-tab at regular intervals.

No change, reallly. If you run into any issues, right click the game start icon, click Properties, and change the Compatibility to XP SP2. Isn't really necessary, though.

YENNOX : Only difference is that you will d/c at major bosses (namely Zakum) unless you alt-tab at regular intervals. Not really. I have Vista and I can Zak fine. It's only some people that have problems with bossing with Vista. Not all.

Vista also gives another error : if u leave maple open and put ur laptop into sleep mode, then when u back start it up it will give u a ' blue screen of death' google picture this and u'll see what it is.

I get a stupid parental control when i run maple, asking me if i want to allow this application to run. It's really annoying, because i am the administrator, and it's my laptop and noones else uses it.

if you have Service Pack Number 1 you will not d/c at zakum right click "My Computer" and go to "properties" and it will tell you.

Get back onto Windows XP. Its a lot more stable and productive when you want to use other applications in the background. Not only that but if you prefer Windowed mode (like me and many others) You may want to use XP that can handle the workload especially since you are on a Laptop and not a Desktop. Recent information feed from other threads report that many errors unexpectedly appear when its running. Vista and Mobile computers do not normally have the efficiency as even a simple Desktop. To finally Answer your question; I would select Windows XP.

That laptop is capable of windows vista and windows vista is a very heavy OS and if it can handle windows vista, it can pretty much handle maplestory because maplestory is a small and light game wich even a heavy duty mobile phone can handle

But some people actually get an error during body transitions and maple closes.

Can't it be the internet lagging so it sends less packets than useally and maplestory doesn't know how to react to the lower packets and ends up in a error wich is anoying at bosses, and I have 6 computers and I have played at least 1 time on 5 of them and the other one is my main gaming pc and not even 1 had a error/lag and 1 of those 6 computers has only a 1.3ghz celleron cpu with a onboard GPU with 32mb and 512mb ram win 7 os (no aero) and that piece of crap handled zakum at low specs and can handle FM on low specs with no to less lagg. o.O
