I got redirected to a website that looks like "My Computer" After that, I get a bunch of popups saying "your computer is infected, get Antivirus now" Is this a real virus?

THIS WARNING IS A HOAX. DO NOT PRESS CANCEL OR OKAY WHEN THE SCAN IS COMPLETE. ALT-F4. ON TOP OF THAT, YOU SHOULD CLOSE YOUR BROWSER IMMEDIATELY WHEN IT REDIRECTS YOU AND DELETE YOUR CACHE. That just happened to me a few minutes ago, and while i closed the redirected site, I checked on my MapleStory, and i d/ced. Is this another form of keylogging? or is it just a scareware, note that i didn't read the redirected site, so I do not know what it was about(the redirected site). Edit: I just went to my history and hoped that I would get the URL, well I am in luck, here it is: http://www.entrepreneur.com/misc/features/a0801/technology.hmt?cam=abcsearch&cid=technology0801 Edit: Also, I just double checked my internet history, and it shows a lot of sites that I haven not visited, ever in my life O.o like asklots(site), something like that and some MapleStory manual download patch site(looked like a funny site with one image and a button to download~looked like nexon colours/style/design) ~Hope that helps Basil Staffs

I had this same problem. i think i found a way of fixing it? i'm not sure, but it's working pretty well for me so far. I used to use mozilla firefox, but then i kept getting redirected to random websites. So i installed Opera. It's pretty similar to firefox. I'm not getting redirected to random sites anymore. I don't know if i completely fixed the problem, but you guys should try it. I'm guessing that any other internet browser would work. Just try switching to another browser, and see if it works for you too.
