Seriously. If you're gonna do it, do it right. Don't try and epic fail and come up with something stupid like 4+4x4. We're not kindergartners here. We don't care if you think you're smart cause you just learned pedmas in your 5th grade math class. It's nothing to brag about. And seriously. Please don't make yourself look dumb and post 16 by accident. It's -16 cause the - isn't in parentheses. I hate having a post limit. @ Ithrowfast, Obviously, it's only 7th-9th grade math. But making it stupid beyond recognition is even worse.

Depends on where the parentheses are. If it's (-4)^2, then it's 16. -(4)^2 is -16.

it is -16 because the negative isnt in a parentheses with the 4^2 if it was (-4)^2 then it would be 16
