im thinking of making either one.. i tried spearman's and they got pretty boring during 4th job... iono why sorry. ANYWAYS. pros and cons?

Continue your assassin. Even you should figure out why Swords are better than Maces, look at all the warriors and count how many picked swords over axes. But if you don't know this, just continue assassin, at least they don't need to choose between weapons.

go dexless BW paladin. heros are cool and all, but paladins pwn hard. their elemental charges add 115-140% to the attack before elemental advantage, blus blast adds 550% attack on top of that. now add elemental advantage to that and youve got a heavy hitter. plus maxed holy hammer deals 900% damage to all monsters on screen, but its not exactly spammable, but it can be used 3 times a minute so its pretty good for bossing. if ur gonna go one hand (probably the best idea after you max guardian) then youre taking less damage than anyone else in game, so youre going to last longer and do more damage to elementally weak bosses (including holy... take that bishops xD). if you can stand the extraordinarily boring second job, and the grind from 70-80, then ull do fine.

That guy's argument can be easily countered. -Elemental charges are 140% max (Holy). Crusaders already get that 140% from Combo during third job and more later on. -Blast is 550%... okay, so? It's still reliant on the buffs which aren't that strong if we're not counting in element advantage. Not to mention that Brandish is better in terms of range. -Substitute elemental advantage with elemental resistance/neutrality and the paladin's losing out on a whole lot of attack. -Heaven's Hammer doesn't kill. Its cooldown isn't so hot either prior to maxing it. You can spam about 3 more Blasts while you're using it, making it unworthy of use where there are 1-2 bosses. -Damage doesn't get reducing that much; hence weapon defense is one of the most useless stats ingame. Just pot. -How many elementally weak bosses are there? Fire and Ice weak bosses don't even count because a Dark Knight can do more per hit and a Hero is going to beat Ice and tie with Fire weak (gear affects this more since it's 988% v 990%). Bishops aren't even bossing DPM worthy. -Page is boring? I find them more fun than thieves. But then again, fun is subjective. And I ended up quitting my wk at 95, so explain how I'm doing "fine". Oh wait, that's subjective once more. Main point? Pretty much what cookies said.
