I want to make a Cygnus knight character, but after reading some of the skills they get, the description for Blessing of the Fairy puzzled me. Can somebody offer a detailed explaination of it?

Basically, depending on the level of the parent character, for every 10 levels, your CK character gains 1 lvl in Blessing of the Fairy. So if you had a 120 parent, your CK would get lvl 12 Blessing. The blessing is used as a damage boost and boosts various stats by 1 for each level, (lvl 12 Blessing gives you +12 w. att)

The skill itself is simple. It gives weapon attack, magic attack, accuracy, avoid, and... I think something else too, but I don't remember for sure. Level 1: 1 w.atk, 2 m.atk, 1 acc, 1 avoid, 1 something else Level 5: 5 w.atk, 10 m.atk, 5 acc, 5 avoid, 5 something Level 20: 20 w.atk, 40 m.atk, 20 acc, 20 avoid, 20 something Pretty straightforward. This skill is passive too, so you don't have to cast it all the time. It's just there. And it stacks with other skills and potions too. There just isn't any downside. ...Except possibly how to level it. When you make a Cygnus Knight, it becomes attached to the character you created it with. The only difference that this attachment means is that the two characters get the Fairy's Blessing. And the Fairy's Blessing depends on the level of the character - the other character, that is. In order for the Cygnus Knight's blessing to level up once, the parent character (the normal character you made your Cygnus Knight with) has to level up ten times. So if the parent character is level 20, the Cygnus Knight automatically gets a level 2 blessing. If the parent is level 40, the Cygnus Knight gets a level 4 blessing. A level 99 character will give the attached Cygnus Knight a level 9 blessing (it always rounds down). But as soon as the parent leveled to 100, the Cygnus Knight's blessing would be bumped up to level 10. It works in the opposite direction too: A level 45 Cygnus Knight will give the parent character a level 4 blessing. Once the Cygnus Knight hits 110, then the parent character gets a level 11 blessing. So basically, your Cygnus Knight and the character you made it with are attached. Whatever level one of them is, divide that level by ten, round it down, and that's the level of Fairy's Blessing that the other character will have.

whatgundamami : isnt that then a symbiotic relationship or so? Erm... *looks up symbiotic* - any interdependent or mutually beneficial relationship between two persons, groups, etc. Is that what you mean? If so, then yes, it's a symbiotic relation between your Cygnus Knight and the parent. And the stronger one becomes, the more the other benefits.

This is stupid. Had I known how the skill increases, I wouldn't have made it with a level 28 warrior that I'm never playing again. Now my skill pretty much stuck at 2, unless I decide to level my warrior, which I don't want to do.

You can delete your warrior, i tested this and it works, but then again you wont get any more blessing for your cyg, but an extra slot could be mroe important, and i made the same mistake as you Joo |

I got my DW up to level 50 and bought his mount, so I probably won't delete him. I did however decide to delete a character a never play and start another CK, this time a Knight Walker, and used my priest to make him. So now he's got a level 11 blessing, but it sucks because I already have a hermit.
