Within the last twenty-four hours, a few of us have been receiving pop-ups claiming that our machines are infected. Of course, that is false. Simply click cancel, and when it redirects you, close the tab or browser session. What I do request you do, is bookmark this thread. When and if your browser is hijacked, copy or memorize the URL it directed you to and post it here. Thank you. Also, assuming this is caused by a google advertisement, is anyone aware of Mr. Basil's progress in having the ad removed?

Yeah and it leads me to a fake "My Computer" site. It's annoying and the other day I accidently downloaded a virus that wouldn't let me open any of my programs, the virus faked that it was an anti virus program. Bleh

Typical : I recently got infected by a fraud anti-virus called System Security 2009 or something of that name. I don't know if it came directly from this site but it was a real nasty one that disabled my firewall and AVG. Thankfully I've managed to remove it. Yes, I've encountered that spyware before. I gotten mine from a FaceBook ad, I was autoclicking(don't ask) and I accidently moved my mouse to click an ad. Luckily SpyBot Search & Destroy did the trick for me
