So I have recently installed Windows & Ultimate RTM 7600 version and now I can't run maple. It says that it does not support my version of windows, so is there a solution to this?

Go back to the old version of windows.

BlueLettuce : Go back to the old version of windows. I was hoping for a better solution than that...

Make sure your drivers are all up to date. I know that when I first tried, my graphics card driver wasn't installed.

Everything is up to date, I can be sure of that. I'm just wondering if there's something that can simulate windows xp in a program format so I can play maple. :S

Well, if you want something to simulate XP, get VMWare, but be aware that it lags like crazy. Other than these things, I can't really help you. I know that compatibility mode doesn't work anymore, so that's out the window. Run it as an administrator, though. That could be your biggest problem.

I'm not sure how it works though, you'd have to read about it.

MS should run without any problem on Win7 from what I've been hearing. Is there like a little square box that say something like don't show meh again and it asked you if you want to ignore or not? If it is, that just an window that is informing you that it has known compatibility issues. You should play afterwards. If that's not it, are you sure you go everything updated? There have been cases Thread Starter kept on arguing that they did, but in the end, it's not.

VMWare? Umm I'll try that, as long as it doesn't ban me. D; And the Windows 7 compatibility thing is this. Right click maplestory.exe There is a compatibility tab Select run as Windows XP Service Pack 3 Tick Run as Admin Apply, Okay. It still doesn't work. Just yesterday I was playing Maple on my XP.

If your CPU supports it, try Windows XP Mode . My CPU doesn't support this so I couldn't test it. The RC works fine though. I see no reason why the RTM would have problems.

Your processor needs to be able to support virtualization for xp mode to work. Most recent ones do, so hopefully you're good there. Also keep in mind that xp mode alone needs minimum 1 GB of memory to run, on top of the 1 GB win7 itself needs... So if you have only 2 GB ram, you're gonna be real slow. Edit: if you don't see a RTM version... try it out. You should be fine.

azn011The XP Mode does not support graphics hardware acceleration. Which means no games. Windows 7 should be able to run MS without any problems. Try compatibility mode.

The RAM is not a problem. Thanks IwinUlose.

Microsoft Virtual Machine doesn't emulate your own graphics card. It emulates one for itself, and its not useable with 3D graphics. Get VM ware instead !
