FA or not for crossbowmen?

OH MY GOSH... 2 new problems. help... 1. I tried to make a new thread, when i discovered this problem. It says 'adding new threads is temporarily disabled'? Which is why i just edited this one. What do i do about this? 2. http://yfrog.com/12dikdp I somehow, for some reason cant equip my lvl 28 crossbow. i have 28 str, which is what is required! Lvl 28 too. What do i do? Is it just me not realizing ... something i still dont know yet? please help?

It messes up iron arrow's damage (from what I've heard)...and it doesn't work with 3rd job skills and above that.=x

There's no trick to jump shooting, though it seems like you should press the jump button and then immediately afterwards press the attack button. I don't know about final attack. Wind archers have it as an active skill :P

Trick to jump shot is to put jump buttom very close to the skill/atk button, so that you can mash them at once xD

D: Well then, what do you think?/what did you do? xD What should I do? :o I did not put any points into Final Attack, period. :P I maxed out everything during 2nd job asides from FA (Crossbow mastery, Soul Arrow, Iron Arrow, Crossbow Booster, Power-Knock Back). The remaining points I used them to fix up my messed up double shot (I was a noob back when I started and messed up my first job skills Dx). If you didn't mess up your skills like I did, the remaining points should go into Focus. =]

It really messes with iron arrow, you will constantly be run over by mobs as FA breaks the chains of iron arrows.

Final Attack is generally not recommended for Crossbows. It fires too slow to be of benefit and costs 30 SP to max. Iron Arrow attacks 6 monsters at once. If Final Attack activated while using Iron Arrow, it would only attack one monster, allowing the other 5 to run up to you and swarm you. Jumpshooting is easier for some than others. It depends on the keyboard and where the jump and attack keys are placed. All the guides here on the Bowman forum are great.

it ruins IA's purpose. IA has such high power that keeps the mob (reasonably) away from you, as it lacks stun (like bomb) so it relies on power to KB the monsters FA disrupts it, allowing the other 5 monsters to swarm you. that's why FA kinda fails on crossbowmen and it takes some time to learn to jumpshoot. if i ever cared about that, i'd have learned long ago, lol i can jumpshoot from time to time, and just when i really try. but i don't find it a huge advantage, maybe because it hasn't convinced me yet lol

Well, it gives iron arrow a whole new scope. Now taking larger mobs, you let FA help you out. You can fight 7+ monsters and FA will slowly narrow it down. I don't know about you guys, but I like final attack. And imo, the delay between the final attack and the next iron arrow is short enough to keep you from getting mobbed.

I skipped Fa, maxed everything else but Soul Arrow which is 14 (Wish I would have left it a bit lower), maxed Focus and put my spare points into Blessing of Amazon as more accuracy will have more of an effect than even an longer Soul Arrow.
