So I was simply browsing Basil...out of nowhere BAM. (imageshack) Can anyone care to explain this?

It's been happening to some people lately where you get redirected to some other site by an ad. I guess you can just report it to Mr. Basil with the link to the screenshot and possibly the link to the ad too so he can fix it.

It wasn't an ad, I was just about to click the "Having Trouble Adding A Player?" sticky, and then that thing just randomly pops up at me.

Just use Adblock+ and NoScript. No ads at all.

Eh, you just have to deal with them, without them Basil will be down, but you can report some and MrB will take them down, and google will pick different ones, just let them s how the Ads
