I need an excuse to quit football

Varsity football is no fun. We have 7 2 a day practices. It's a lot of hard work with no real reward. Each two a day is 10 hours long. Then once school starts my whole life will be involved in football. I missed out in so much playing JV last year. I don't want to miss out this year. However I don't want my teammates and coaches thinking that I'm to much of a wuss to play football. MY dad would also be disseminated and even possibly mad because he used to play football in highschool and he has some weird work ethic and believes if you accept a job you need to finish it. Does anyone have any good excuse that I could use to quit football that won't make me look like a wuss? I love the aggressive nature of football, but I hate not having a life.
