When I try to run the software, to make my controller compatible with my pc, it doesn't work. It says: c:users(blah blah)Xbox360_32Eng.exe is not a valid Win32 application. Why does this happen? I really need an answer. I just went out and bought a cable for my wireless controller, and it's not working

You cant use it like that; you need either a wired controller, or a wireless controller with a the wireless USB accessory.

OS? x32 or x64? Redownload the file. It might just be corrupted. Also try a different mirror.

ZYBlade : " I just went out and bought a cable for my wireless controller, and it's not working" The thing is that there's no way you can connect a wireless controller to a wired port with a single cable. What you need is a wireless receiver that you plug into the PC and then you connect the controller to the receiver. Unless this is what "cable" referred to, and they haven't come up with new fascinating products recently, the cable is most likely just a regular battery charging cable.

ZYBlade : " I just went out and bought a cable for my wireless controller, and it's not working" You bolded it but you sound dumb; READ WHAT I SAID. You need either a wired controller , which is NOT the same as a wireless controller with a cable, or a wireless controller and the wireless usb accessory. A wireless controller with a cable, like the kind bought with charger kits will not work . The least you could it try to know what youre talking about. Let me say that again, for all of you who do not understand: A WIRELESS XBOX 360 CONTROLLER, CAN ONLY BE USED WITH A COMPUTER IF PAIRED WITH THE USB ACCESSORY. THAT IS ALL. YOU CAN NOT BUY THE USB ATTACHMENT, AND TRY TO USE THAT TO USE THE CONTROLLER WITH YOUR COMPUTER. IT WILL NOT WORK.
