How do you get FM spot?

I went afk today for 8 hours and I just came back to realize that I got my "spot" stolen from me. So I was wondering... How do people go AFK in MS and then get a spot? Can people open up shops right on top of you?

If you have a regular shop that you run by yourself with no hired merchant people will buy all your stuff just for the FM spot usually if its good. In order prevent that from happening you put some random etc item up in your shop for a ridiculous price such as a monster card for 10million mesos....

Well, I see people in CH1 FM1 go afk behind mushie house all the time... and this one guy in FM 7 did it too. I don't know how he is able to get a spot because he was def. AFK. He had a free spot for like 4 hours... @above, I was trying to get a spot.

Yeah, they probably afked with autoclick and when someone bought the last item in your store, you lost the spot.

When all ur stuff sells ur store automaticaly closes and anyone can take the spot. Someone tried to do this to me, but i pwned them.

kimboosung : @above, I was trying to get a spot. Oh...well..... Jump around FM1-6 until you get tired of NOT finding a spot(SOMETIMES YOU DO FIND ONE) and then go to FM22, give up, and setup shop there.....

Nah. If you want a spot in FM1~6, you have to log off there before a patch/server check and login real quick. I wouldn't try to rush to FM 1~3, just try 5 or 6 or something.

Oh well I'm in a lower populated server and its most likely a different sitiuation in scania or other higher populated servers....

There is a program that lets you see when the mushies are going to expire thats why merchants camp behind the mushies.
