So, after quitting my cleric, I decided I want to go and make a range character - a corsair. Now, I'm looking to maximise my damage with the funding that I have, and if that makes me a damage whore, then my retaliation is that gunslingers don't do THAT well damage during 2nd job, which is why I'm trying to maximise my damage. Which is the best type of Gunslinger/Outlaw/Corsairr? Str-less? Low-Str? What equips should I be trying to get? Anything useful will be greatly appreciated. I'll have around 1.3b-1.5b funding for this character, and already have dep star, and a DEX zhelm. Things like what att wg/scg and dex robes, shoes (fs?), PAC. Thanks.

Low str to wear concerto and then scroll a nice one...easy with your funding.

Oh btw, I have no idea what equips and their levels are called...:P Ill just research what a concerto is then :P Will that be my end game-weapon?

That could very well be an end game weapon, depending on the attack. When i created my GS i was pretty well funded too and my damage was average untill i hit the 3rd job then with my equips it just sky rocketed, so the same will probably happen to you. I kept my slinger on a normal build, just follow the outlaw guide in this forum it works nicely. As for equips i used a 15dex robe 15 atk glove and some other equips with a lot of dex. So i guess if you want to maximize damage find high dex equips as well as high attack weapons and you should be solid.

thanks mate, aight so ive bought a 16 att glove, but needa wait till ive sold some other quips first before i can find a decent dex robe + earings + fs down along the way. Aight i think im ready to start my corsair for the time being :]. It iwll probably be hard to find any averagely scrolled guns up until about 70, so should I just 100%?

Either that or get 70 and 60% scrolls, they are very cheap about 500k per and the guns are very cheap too so its not that big of a gamble.

100% ur guns until level 70,from there just use a not godly,but decent gun until ur end game gun,save up as much as you can and buy one,i recommend a concerto with a 90+ attack,mine's 96 attack and i paid 365mil for it.

Don't be tempted to give yourself a budget for your end-game gun. Even in scania, decent concertos (scrolled) are rare and there isn't really a price range for concertos (and higher level guns). The last thing you want is for the exact gun you've been searching for to be priced at twice what you have because you upgraded 2 dex on your pants, and be stuck without a gun.

Ite but instead of 70% or 100% the guns from 20-70 I could use da pink flower tube at 30 cuz they are better than guns right? Not sure how to obtain them or their stats tho. Like alot of other classes, I should aim for a str top and dex bottoms? Rather than a dex overall? I'm gonna leave bout 500m for my end gun, w/e that might be, 9x might be decent. Btw sorry for bad English and grammer, usin iPhone.

Kradian guns are VERY rare. It took me months to finally scroll a decent d-fire. Don't bother buying a scrolled gun. Even my modest 94/3, i've gotten offers of 400m...

Pink tube is a level 30 event item that lasts about a week. You get one by turning in 5 watermelons on your gunslinger to Chumji in the Agent Headquarters which Agent E can take you to. You get watermelons from the watermelon field that the Maple Admin teleports you to. You CAN get more than one tube, but only after your first one either expires, or is dropped. The attack varies from 60-7x. Highest I've gotten was 71 which I am currently using on my level 45 slinger. Keep with it until the event ends and renew as they expire. A clean one is as strong as a level 60 gun. I recommend using your Hermit and darksight the watermelon field, get about 20 watermelons and transfer them to your slinger as the quest gives 10k exp or so.

oh wow +1 thanks so much i think i only have one more question. I will be low-str, so I should aim for str-equips for that, and also so MW boosts dex? Are str-equips cheaper than dex equips? [i dont think so] ~~~~~~~~~EDIT~~~~~~~~~ k ive got 20 watermelons, how do i swap them for a tube? im at the agent HQ thing, but Agent W doesnt seem to want to take them
